Welcome to The Joy of Music!

Norm Weintraub and Fred Napolitano have been singer /songwriters for over 40 years and played in numerous musical groups and currently perform for audiences all over Marin County, bringing an uplifting message through an assortment of well known songs and originals
As a collective,we are a group of musicians who enjoy volunteering our talents to those who wouldn't normally have the ability to go out and hear music on their own. We perform in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, abused women's shelters, Alzheimers and dementia care facilities and centers for adults with developmental disabilities.
TESTIMONIAL
To whom it may concern,
I write to you as the Volunteer Coordinator at The Cedars of Marin, a non-profit serving adults with Developmental Disabilities since 1919.
We are funded primarily by the state in order to fund the fabulous services we provide. We look to voluntary or complimentary means for which to bring entertainment to our clients, as often as possible. The fact that our clients are able to enjoy so many wonderful experiences, while being affordable or donated, is truly a gift.
Norm Weintraub and Fred Napolitano are exactly the type of friends that bring so much joy to our days, simply because they have gigantic hearts and occasionally some free time. Their effort is gigantic, as they bring as much to each performance as is possible, so that their music is dynamic and energetic, danceable (our clients lovvve to dance!) and also, so that the sound is great...
Norm, Fred & Friends have come and performed several times at three of our sites. They have touched the lives of at least eighty different clients, over and over. If you were to ask Norm how he feels about how receptive his audiences are here at The Cedars of Marin, he would surely that we are one of the most gracious and worthy crowds ever!
I would love to know that Norm and Fred could continue forever to lift us up through their music!
Sincerely,
Crystal Marker

Living Creative, Productive, Joyous Lives
Norm Weintraub and Fred Napolitano literally rock! We are so pleased that they are part of our family once a month at Bello Gardens. We look forward to seeing this fabulous musician duo each time they come to Bello Gardens. They perform with such warmth, passion and light; their music reaches the soul of every resident. The first time I heard them, I was walking toward the activity room and could not believe the performance I was hearing… there they were! Norm and Fred reach out to our seniors through their music and interactions; we are all truly touched by them. Collective joy soars during the performances and moods remain spiritually uplifted long after Norm and Fred have left. The songs that are sung offer meaningful compositions mixed with lively tunes, in turn making for great listening, hand clapping and toe tapping. Or, you can just sit and take in the musical glory…Thanks guys! Norm, you are the best and I love the Lewiston connection. We at Bello Gardens are lucky to have you.

Activities Director, Bello Gardens
TESTIMONIAL
The dynamic duo Norm and Fred put on a sensational performance here at Aegis Living of Corte Madera. Their ability to touch our residents and lift their spirits up through guitar playing and singing songs that evoke emotion and reminiscence can be seen through the audiences’ smiles and loud applause. They have a natural talent to connect with the crowd with their energy, song selections, and charismatic personality. We were truly blessed to have their presence with us and we will definitely see this tag team duo perform here again.

To whom it may concern:
Singer-guitarist-songwriter Norm Weintraub has been performing fairly regularly at the San Rafael Country Villa skilled nursing facility for the past couple of years, first as a volunteer, now as paid performer, who more than earns his pay. He has an energy and intensity that really gets his message of healing love and human connection across to his audience. Norm, in a word, brings JOY to our residents, who have such limited ability to get out to hear a variety of live music. Norm has a special warmth and empathy combined with a fun-loving spirit that we really appreciate and are very grateful to experience. We support Norm's efforts to continue and enhance his work with this population.

Our goal is to bring musical entertainment and the joy that comes along with it to people who can't get out to hear and see musical performances. We started doing these performances because we love to play music together and wanted to bring our love of this art form to audiences that are in need of an uplifting feeling.

TESTIMONIAL
To whom it may concern,
Norm Weintraub has been a dedicated performer at WindChime of Marin over the last couple years. He has enriched the lives of our residents with his wonderful voice and talented guitar playing. Our residents have commented on several occasions on how well he and his volunteer groups have performed. Norm plays at a professional level but shares countless hours of his time to share his love for music with the residents. Each time he visits WindChime, he brings with him other talented musicians who donate their time as well. Vlad Cardema, Barbara Juniper and Fred Napolitano are some of the performers who have joined Norm at WindChime. I highly recommend Norm and his singing groups and thank them for the great community service that they provide.
